Sodium acetate, NaCH3COO, also abbreviated NaOAc, is the sodium salt of acetic acid. This colourless deliquescent salt has a wide range of uses. Sodium Acetate is water soluble.

Sodium Acetate FCC anhydrous is the sodium salt of acetic acid. It is mostly commonly used as a preservative in food, feed and used as additive in industrial and laboratory applications.

Sodium acetate is used as the carbon source for culturing bacteria. Sodium acetate is also useful for increasing yields of DNA isolation by ethanol precipitation. It is used as a buffering agent in the cosmetics industry in a variety of personal care products.
