Sodium Citrate

Sodium Citrate is also called Trisodium Citrate or Citrosodine or Natrocitral. It is widely used as a food preservative, for alkalization of urine to prevent kidney stones, an anticoagulant for stored blood, and buffer.

Sodium Citrate helps in enabling melting of cheeses by not becoming greasy, in drinks and food as an acidity regulator, as an emulsifier for oils, as a pharmaceutical aid, as an anticoagulant for blood, to prevent curdling of milk, as a food additive. Used to avoid clotting of fresh beef blood &used in electroplating.
